Happy Sunday Everyone,
How’s it going?….So we opened this week…it was the same but different… nothing has changed but everything has… Are you tired of hearing that yet?…are you tired of change…tired of it all… the mask… ugh the masks!! Are you tired of the social distancing, the isolation, the constant awareness of who and what is “dirty”… are you tired of all the gathering, all the screaming and yelling… the constant awareness of who and what is “dirty”… tired of the repetitive newness of it all? Just tired…(but occasionally energized)…
Are you tired of not being able to see your chiropractor…tired of your back hurting…of not sleeping…are you tired of not feeling “right”? Are you tired of these emails… do you just want a good “crack”… Well the good news is that the office is open…it’s the same but different… that’s probably good… and yep, for some… you guessed it… probably bad.
It was great reconnecting with a few of you this past week. Thank you for respecting our new protocols and understanding that we are no longer offering physical therapy modalities (electric stimulation and heat) with our treatments for the foreseeable future. Thank you for arriving as scheduled, on time and not walking into the office unscheduled. And thank you for understanding as we have tried to navigate this “same but different” world, at this “same but different” chiropractic office… on our “same but different” journeys.
Eighteen years ago, I opened Causeway Chiropractic and wrote our Mission Statement… I have often referred to it when I feel we may have strayed from it or I have felt “stuck” within my profession… my purpose… my life… you know… the WHY? I haven’t looked at it in a while. Not for any particular reason… just busy… just doing… just living. Even after 2 ½ months of an unexpected and panicked collective shutdown and a couple weeks of an individually precisely planned reopening… I still didn’t make the effort to open my “eyes” and “feel” it again. But yesterday I had to pull it out… I read it again… it’s still relevant… it’s still our mission… it’s still who we are… a little different for each of you… individualized within a shared space… completely the same but… (you know…).
The events and affects of the COVID-19 global pandemic and its associated social and economic “viruses” have created an imbalance within our shared human experience. The “invisible thread” which connects us is being strained… the emotional is becoming physical… the vibrational “tone” … our Soul…is being stressed.
By reopening our office, Causeway Chiropractic, we hope to assist our patients in recognizing and restoring the necessary balance, both physically and emotionally, within themselves and by extension our collective community. Thank you for continuing to trust our office with your chiropractic healthcare needs. And thank you again for your patience and respect as we adapt to our new tomorrow.
We look forward to scheduling your next appointment.
Yours in Health,
Dr. Bott
