Hey how’s your pandemic going? Can you believe it’s been 2 months? So much information, so much processing and adapting… So much has changed but so much hasn’t. It can actually be dizzying…the daily tidal wave of facts and opinions. It can be a numbing contradiction of “rational emotion.”
Unfortunately, the battle is real. Quarantine Fatigue is hitting everyone… it is the pandemic within the pandemic…. a pandemic that’s becoming more individualized as we progress. But progress and move forward is what we do… as a community and as individuals… for both our health and our wealth. That’s the honest and balanced evolution we must manage as we reenter “normalcy.”
After 8 weeks this is what we know and can all agree:
1)Respect personal space/social distancing.
2)Be hyperaware of personal hygiene/hand washing.
3)Understand that being (spaced) outdoors is better than being indoors.
4) Realize that being around less people is better than being around more people.
5) Wearing a mask in public protects others (it’s our civic responsibility).
6) Maintain the basics of a healthy lifestyle including: eat a well-balanced diet (preferably an organic whole food-based diet), perform age appropriate exercises, manage stress levels and get consistent quality sleep.
7)Remember that no one knows if they are asymptomatic and that we must assume that we are all COVID-19 carriers.
With guarded optimism let’s stick our toes back into the water. But let’s do it together with our collective knowledge. Let’s treat this invisible virus as we would a rip current in late August…we know it’s there… we understand its power and the associated dangers… we have heard the tragic real-life stories… But our concern and awareness is not fear… it is strength… it is an educated confidence. So, we dive in… we swim…we are refreshed… and yes…we survive.
Causeway Chiropractic continues to test the waters and act accordingly. Kathi will be at the office this week in order to schedule patients and facilitate our re-opening. We ask for your understanding as we gradually open the office to patients. Please review and respect our COVID-19 office protocols as outlined on our 5/3/2020 update. Kathi will be scheduling our most acute patients for the week of June 1, 2020. We understand that pain is a very personal experience and we will do our best to accommodate each patient’s individual needs.
Thank you again for your patience.
Yours in Health,
Dr. Bott
